Places to Go - THIS SATURDAY - The Gifts That Give Hope Gift Fair (Arlington, VA)

2015 Kids Shopping List CORRECTED.pdf

Last year we took the kids to the Gifts That Give Hope Gift Fair and everyone had a wonderful time (even as I stumbled around on my sad broken foot). There's a Santa! (who doesn't love Santa?). And live music! And lots of info about different local charities. The kids spent a lot of time learning about each charity and donating to their favorites. Plus, it really helps take away some of the ickiness/commercialism of the holiday season (says she who just spent over $200 on giant homemade Advent calendar).

Anyways, here are the details (and a friendly note) from Tara Bibb, the event organizer. So go. Seriously. YOU NEED TO GO!!!

If you (like me!) you are already worrying about the stress and “stuff” that can easily overtake the holidays, consider taking the family to Gifts That Give Hope on Saturday, December 5. This event, geared toward teaching children about charitable giving, is completely volunteer run and organized by fellow moms!
