*The toys pictured on top actually belonged to my husband and his brother as children. When F's older cousin, C, saw them, he played for hours. Hours.
*My mother in law makes reusable gift bags to wrap all the presents in. Genius.
The days leading up Christmas were a little tough on me - my dad's cancer has started spreading and we had to take our cat of 7 years, Chumley, to an animal shelter. Luckily, we spent the week at my in-laws' house in Richmond and my husband's mother went out of her way to make sure everyone had a fantastic Christmas - tons of great food, Elizabeth Arden spa appointments for my sister-in-law and me, play tickets to the Velveteen Rabbit for the whole family, and lots of love and relaxation. For Xmas, I received books of all different sorts (YAY!) so I cuddled on the couch and read for days. Blissful. Plus, Xmas day brought snow as well - a white Xmas (in the south) it doesn't get any better. I hope everyone else had a wonderful holiday season as well. Happy Monday!
